The Shellow Collection: Introduction

    The instructions in this collection were provided by James M. Shellow, a partner in the firm Shellow & Shellow in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. Shellow has been a successful criminal defense practitioner for over 40 years in both state and federal courts.  He is a former president of the National Association of Criminal Defense lawyers, president of the Board of Regents of the National College for Criminal Defense Lawyers, an elected member of the American Law Institute and formerly served on the 7th Circuit Federal Model Instruction Committee. He has lectured and published extensively in the field of criminal law.

    Many of the instructions have been given in actual state and federal trials as indicated by the case name and number. They have not been significantly edited or modified.

    The copyright to these instructions is held by Mr. Shellow.  The instructions are published by juryinstruction.com with Mr. Shellow’s permission and juryinstruction.com is the sole and exclusive grantee of all rights with regard to these instructions.
